2010 I was thrilled to help out recently with another Uniform Project video! So far, Sheena has raised over $76,000. The funds raised go to the Akanksha Foundation for the education of underprivileged children in India and have thus far paid for over 213 kids to go to school.

I just finished another Pro Keds spot, which was more like a short film -- very hip, fun and catchy. Will post it soon.
Also starting work soon on a top secret project that will blow your mind. That's all I'm at liberty to say.

Michel Gondry, Prince Paul and I join forces on the new MC Paul Barman track "Lidgeon" from his amazing new album, Thought Balloon Mushroom Cloud. I seriously defy any rhymesayer to top what Paul has done on this record. (Por ejemplo: Double acrostics!) It's just sick. Amazing production by Memory Man, DOOM, ?uestlove, Casual-T, Mofo Snot and many more.
Arranged more music placements in Solitary Man, Eastwick, Trauma, CSI, Welcome to the Rileys, Army Wives. Spending a lot of time mastering Logic and working on my debut album. And best of all, I became a Dad last month. September

2009 Los
Campeones had its premiere in Mexico City a few months ago (I was busy getting
married) and we were thrilled to see FWAK's
amazing images. For those out west, there will be a special showing of the
film in L.A. on February 5th. More info here. My dear friend
and frequent collaborator, the unparalleled MC Paul Barman has released the
Buck Moon Mix Tape,
featuring 79 minutes of live, new and archival cuts. Among them are the never
before available Phofo-produced "Sampling Law" and "Don't Micromanage
My Psychodamage". If you want to hear the most talented wordsmith alive
today, check it the hell
out. Luckily, we're
not getting bumped for College Basketball this winter, so Sushi Pack is still
rocking Saturday mornings on CBS. The Sushi Pack movie should be playing in
a theater near you so check local listings. There's some Sushi merch out there
but there seems to be much more coming
in Fall 2009. Phofo did a groovy
ye-ye remix of Bell Hollow's "Getting on in Years". You can download
it here. Several other remixes
in the works and lots of fun film, TV and commercial projects slinking into
the ether. Stay tuned. May
2008 Also, the Sushi
Pack movie is slated for a summer release so stay tuned. October

While Sushi Pack is not currently airing in the U.S., I was thrilled to find out that it is currently airing in almost 60 countries around the world -- from India to China, France to Australia -- even Djibouti!
Having a lot of fun working on some fun pilots, including the lovably strange Purple Wizard Red Cowboy Show with Oddbot.
I'm thrilled to unveil my totally gratis iPhone Ringtone Project. Bored with the standard iPhone ringtones, I decided to make some of my own and I'm giving them away for free. You don't even have to divulge any personal information. Just download them, frollick away and enjoy!
I just scored Oddbot's 2010 Animation Reel. It's a lot of fun and works really well with the music!
New ad work for Scion and Keds coming soon. Music placements in CSI:NY, The Bridge, TO Show, Damages and many more.
Sorry for the lack of updates. Very busy the last few months.

five crime-fighting pieces of sushi that protect Wharf City from over-the-top
diabolical villains. The humor-filled, action-packed television treatment for
Sushi Pack was written by animation legends Tom Ruegger and Nicholas Hollander,

“Tiny Toon Adventures,” and “Pinky and the Brain.” The
series, of 52, 11-minute episodes, is being co-produced by American Greetings
Properties and DIC Entertainment.
The teaser for "Los

Phofo has contributed a whopping 10 new songs to Red Bull's "Mean Streets
2" DVD, available with the October issue of Ride BMX magazine.
Phofo's straight... but also very proud to have a song in possibly the gayest
movie ever made. Moreover, the song underscores the pivotal and ever-coveted
"morning after" montage. Check out Phofo's remix of My Favorite's
"Homeless Club Kids" appearing in the newly released Another
Gay Movie, starring Kids in the Hall's Scott Thompson and Graham
Norton, directed by Todd Phillips (Gypsy 83, Edge of Seventeen).

Phofo has compiled a superswell mix of arcane Christmas tunes for your enjoyment.
Download the Superswell Christmas Mix. Also, check out six new Phofo tunes on
BMX Magazine/Red Bull's "Mean Streets" DVD.
Welcome to the new web design... Lots to report. There are 11 new Phofo songs
featured exclusively on Skateboarder Magazine/Red Bull's "Seek & Destroy
2" DVD, available this month with Skateboarder Mag. The DVD also features new
tracks from Prince Paul, The Dix, & Mr. Dead. Get the DVD in this issue
of Skateboarder.... I have also had the dubious pleasure of a recent collab
with the extraordinarily talented, Mr. Dead. I will keep you posted about when
the tracks will be available.
I finally joined Myspace and posted "I Love Meatballs" for your downloading
pleasure however, due to my own unease, the track has been renamed to "I Love
Happy Fun Ball"... (phew)
Also, in the meantime, I launched "samplinglaw.com", which should hopefully
answer many of your questions about sampling and the law and what-not...

I am pleased to report that "I Love Happy Fun Ball" a.k.a. "I Love Meatballs"
was featured on the famed MP3 blog, Music For Robots, writing: "This Phofo track
is also all awesomeness - it reminds me a bit of the Avalanches (my favorite
dirty Australians), with its bounce and cute/unrecognizable samples."

The wonderful City of New York has released a CD compilation promoting NYC music
entitled, "New York Noise: New City Sounds from the Underground" and Phofo happens
to be on it... what a waste of your taxes... the song is "I Love Happy Fun Ball"
a.k.a. "I Love Meatballs"; the title is truly a desparate plea for better song
titles...

Check out Phofo's humble contribution to McSweeney's humor anthology, "Created
in Darkness by Troubled Americans", released August 10, 2004 from Knopf (ISBN:
1400042240) at all fine booksellers near you... Can you use "released" for books?
I think "dropped" is somehow more universal. The book dropped last summer and
can be found in plenty of pedestrian places like Hudson candy shops in the airport...
Next time you're in an airport, why don't you treat yourself to new shoe laces,
a Mounds, and this book...

Sonido Uzumaki was released in the summer on Music-Related Records as a soundtrack

the Railway Children, 'nuff said.

"Paullelujah" was featured on NPR's Fresh Air program. Listen to Ken Tucker's
review (as well my blabbering at the beginning of "Excuse You."... Also, "Paullelujah"
was featured in the 11/11/02 issue of TIME Magazine. Read the TIME Magazine
article. There's one track on that 12" that's not on the LP and that would be
the Phofo-produced tune, "Make No Mistake" (featuring scratching by Company
Flow's/Matador Records' Mr. Len). Seems there was some technical mishap in post-production
and the song sounds strange on the record, so MCPB has kindly made it available
his website for all to enjoy.
